UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS

The members of FUURT are members of an unemployment benefit fund.

The fund pays income-related unemployment benefit to its unemployed members. In order to receive income-related unemployment benefit, a member is required:

 

* to have been a member of the union for at least 34 weeks. 

* to have been employed—paid and insured—for at least 18 or more hours weekly (7 or more hours weekly for university teachers) for at least 34 weeks during her/his membership.
