MEMBERSHIP FEES

All members pay fees to their member association. The size of the fees is agreed on annually, and they vary somewhat from one association to the other, amounting to something between 0.95 - 1.1% of one's wages if working on a regular basis. For unemployed, the ones on maternity leave, the ones enjoying a scholarship etc. the membership fee is 6 €/month (year 2011). Details of fees can best be obtained from the relevant association.

Those with regular wages can authorize the employer to deduct their fees from their salary. The authorization form is delivered to the salary office. The authorization form can be found in forms.

All the members receive also reference numbers with which they take care of the fees. The reference numbers are for 3 month's periods, and they are posted every year in the end of February.

Members of FUURT are entitled to membership in the Teachers' Unemployment Benefit Society. These unemployment benefits can be collected only if the fees have been duly paid. Membership fees are tax-deductible.
