Leisure time accident insurance and traveller's insurance

FUURT has insured all its individual members in Pohjola with a leisure-time accident insurance as well as a traveller's insurance.

The leisure-time accident insurance covers medical treatment, permanent handicap and the event of death. The insurance is valid everywhere in the world for members under 68 years of age for accidents occurring on leisure time and non-work-related trips. For members who are not in full-time jobs (such as researchers on a scholarship) and who do not practice business for earning purposes, the insurance is valid all the time.

The traveller's insurance covers medical treatment of travel-time illnesses and accidents. The insurance is valid for members under 68 years of age and accompanying members of family who are under 15 years of age. The traveller's insurance is valid on leisure trips under three months. For members who are not in full-time jobs (such as researchers on a scholarship) and who do not practice business for earning purposes, the travel insurance is valid all the time. The insurance does not include luggage insurance.

Liability and legal protection insurance 

The union has agreed with Pohjola on a profession-related liability and legal protection insurance. The insurance covers costs of lawyer services and legal processes incured in juridical cases and disagreements on contracts; the euro-related limit of the costs covered is agreed upon annually. There is a deductible to this insurance.

Organization insurance

The union has agreed on an organization insurance with Pohjola. The insurance covers FUURT members in their organizational duties and functions everywhere in the world. The activities covered by the insurance include for example the meetings of the union bodies, the meetings of the local associations, training courses, and seminars. The organization insurance comprises a travel insurance including a traveller's insurance, a luggage insurance as well as a liability and legal protection insurance.

Other insurances

According to the cooperation agreement between FUURT and Pohjola, individual members are liable to discounts on the following insurances: life insurance, super home insurance, vehicle insurance, travel insurance and accident insurance.
